Occupied Space
iron bar, acrylic panel, rubber ring, 50 x 50 x 240 cm, 2017

'The more the members move in the space, the narrower the space I feel.'

This is a work about my studio where I spend most of time with other artists, which is a public space. Several acrylic plates are aligned in the order of date and time. Each acrylic plate represents 'a day' and is a record for 20 days in the studio. The color of the acrylic plate identifies each member, and the frequency of movement of each member is written near the color plates. As each number indicates the movement of each member, the larger the total amount of number, the smaller the plate and the smaller the total amount, the larger the plate. The frequency of physical movement of members sharing the space is defined as a factor that causes comfort or discomfort.
